Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011:

  • In the Region and Language item in Control Panel, you set the Short date format to dd/MM/yy.
  • You open Attachments Configuration (98.400.00).
  • You set up attachments for a Microsoft Dynamics SL screen.
  • You open the Microsoft Dynamics SL screen, enter a record, and then click Notes/Attachments.
  • You select a file to upload as an attachment and then click OK.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

System Message 334: Error writing file

Error converting data type int to smallint

Resolution
