Company selection information is ignored when an application calls ROI to run a report and pastes select criteria into the Company Selection tab of the ROI screen

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You enter information on the Company Selection tab of a Microsoft Dynamics SL report to restrict the information on the report.
  • You save the company selection information to a template.
  • You create code to run ROI.exe and to pass the report number and template ID to ROI so that ROI can paste this information into the Company Selection tab of the ROI screen to restrict the information on the report.
  • An application uses this code to call ROI to run a report.

In this scenario, the company selection information on the template to which you saved the information is ignored when the application runs the report.

Resolution
