More Information

Unregistered Quick Query:
Unregistered Quick Query is using Quick Query without a QQ key entered in the Registration (95.250.00) screen. When you use Quick Query without a registration key, users can view standard base query views that are included with the SL installation. Users can filter these views, rearrange the columns, and add columns as long as the SQL view that the Quick Query is built on already includes those columns.

Without a QQ key in the Registration (95.250.00) screen, if a user tries to access the Quick Query Viewer (QQ.VIE.00) screen from the Administration module or from "ALL modules" > "Quick Query" on the SL menu they are prompted, and you receive the following error message:

System Message 6814 - You have reached the maximum accesses for this module in TRIALLOC Mode, Please Restore the TRIAL database.

These methods of starting the Quick Query Viewer (QQ.VIE.00) are available only with a QQ registration key. Without a registration key, users must start specific base query views from under the Quick Query module to access the Quick Query Viewer (QQ.VIE.00) screen.

Registered Quick Query:
Registered Quick Query is using Quick Query with a QQ key entered in the Registration (95.250.00) screen. When you use Quick Query with a registration key, users have, in addition to the capabilities outlined here, the ability to build their own custom Quick Query views based on custom SQL views. Users can also additionally change custom base query views that come preinstalled with Microsoft Dynamics SL. In order to start the Quick Query Viewer (QQ.VIE.00) from under the "Administration" module grouping or from under the "All Modules" > "Quick Query" section, a QQ key is required.
