Lync 2010 for Windows Phone displays Japanese text in the Microsoft Yahei font unexpectedly

Symptoms

Assume that you have Microsoft Lync 2010 for Windows Phone installed on a Japanese version of Windows Phone 7. However, text in Lync 2010 for Windows Phone is displayed unexpectedly in the Microsoft Yahei font instead of the Yu Gothic font.

For example, the text in a contact card is displayed in the Yahei font.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
