Generate Payroll Process (SD.302.00) crashes when you set it to use Advanced Payroll and to use the pay rate from Payroll

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Service Dispatch in Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011:

  • You set Payroll Interface to "Adv Payroll" in Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00).
  • You set Use Pay Rate from to "Payroll" in Service Series Setup Maintenance (SD.000.00).
  • You enter a service call in Service Call Entry (SD.200.00).
  • You click the Invoice button and enter invoice information in Invoice Entry (SD.202.00).
  • You click the Details button and enter a detail in Invoice - T & M Details (SD.203.00).
  • You run the Generate Payroll Process (SD.302.00).

When you do this, you notice that the screen crashes, and the information is not sent to Advanced Payroll.

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL
