You use Windows Internet Explorer 9 to visit a secure (HTTPS) website by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and the website requires client-side certificates. However, after the connection is created, the prompt for the client certificate may not appear. Therefore, the authentication may be unsuccessful.
NoteThisproblem does not occur if a proxy server is used in the connection between the client and the web server.
