Issue that this hotfix package fixes



  • Assume that you use Internet Explorer 10 to try to download a PowerPoint 2010 file from a SharePoint site. When you click the Open option, the file is not opened as a server document in PowerPoint 2010. Instead, the file is opened as a local document that is stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder. Because the file is not opened as a server document, any changes that are made to the file are not saved on the server.
