The SlideShowNextSlide event is not triggered when you switch between two slides by using a hyperlink in PowerPoint 2010

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
   
  • Slide A contains a hyperlink to slide B, and slide B also contains a hyperlink to slide A.
  • You open slide A in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, and then you click the hyperlink to slide B.
  • Slide B is opened, and you click the hyperlink to slide A.
  • Slide A is displayed, and then you click the hyperlink to slide B again.
In this scenario, the SlideShowNextSlide event is not triggered.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, apply the following update:
2597062 Description of the PowerPoint 2010 hotfix package (x86 Powerpoint-x-none.msp, x64 Powerpoint-x-none.msp, Pptview-x-none.msp): December 13, 2011
