Solution 1: Run the Fix it Wizard
Click the
Fix it button or link.
Then click
Run in the
File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in the Fix it Wizard.

- Log on to the computer by using an administrator account or an account that has administrative rights.
- Close all Internet Explorer browser windows.
- Click Start, type cmd in the Search box, and then click cmd under Programs.
- Copy the following command:
FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*9.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart"
- Paste the command into the Command Prompt window, and then press Enter.
- Restart the computer.
Solution 3: Use System Restore
- Log on to the computer by using an administrator account or an account that has administrative rights.
- Click Start, and then type system restore.
- Right-click System Restore, and then click Run as administrator. Click Continue if you are prompted.
- In the System Restore dialog box, click Next.
- In the list that appears, select a restore point that�s earlier than when you installed Internet Explorer 9, and then click Next.
- In the Confirm your restore point dialog box, click Finish.
