The voice mail LED on a Polycom CX300 telephone does not turn on when you receive a new voice mail in a Lync 2010 environment

Symptoms

You connect a Polycom CX300 telephone to your computer that is running a Microsoft Lync 2010 client. In this situation, the voice mail Light Emitting Diode (LED) on the telephone does not turn on when you receive a new voice mail.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Lync 2010 client does not send the Human interface device (HID) report to turn on the voice mail LED.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
