The origin property change event does not occur in Internet Explorer 9 when the background-origin is changed through the background shorthand property

Symptoms

You have a webpage in which you use JavaScript to update the background-origin sub-property of the background shorthand property. When you browse the webpage in Windows Internet Explorer 9, the onPropertyChange event that results from the background-origin update incorrectly reports the update as a background-image update. Therefore, the onPropertyChange event does not occur.�
