The MSExchangeMailboxAssistants.exe process crashes when the managed folder assistant tries to journal a message in an Exchange Server 2007 environment

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You schedule the managed folder assistant to run in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment. Then, the managed folder assistant tries to journal a message that is larger than the maximum submission size. In this scenario, the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Assistants service (MSExchangeMailboxAssistants.exe) crashes. Additionally, the following event is logged in the Application log:

Cause

This issue occurs because the Store.exe�process fails, and generates a 0x4DA (ecMaximumSubmissionExceeded) error when the�MSExchangeMailboxAssistants.exeprocess tries to submit the message to the Store.exe process.

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
