| 1. | Insert your Encarta installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD-ROM to prevent Encarta Setup from starting automatically. |
| 2. | Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer. |
| 3. | Browse through your Encarta installation CD-ROM to one of the files
that is missing on your hard disk.
NOTE: For a listing of the files that you need to copy as well as the folders where those files are located on your Encarta installation CD-ROM, see the tables in the "More Information" section of this article. |
| 4. | Right-click the file, and then click Copy. |
| 5. | Browse to the following folder on your hard disk:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Reference Titles
|
| 6. | Right-click the folder, and then click Paste.
If you are prompted to overwrite an existing file, click Yes. |
| 7. | Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each file that you need to copy and paste into the Reference Titles folder. |
| 8. | Quit Windows Explorer. |
