PPT2000: Excel Worksheet Changes Font When Copied to PowerPoint Slide

Symptoms

When you paste cells or a chart that you copied from Microsoft Excel 2000 into a Microsoft PowerPoint slide, the correct font is not displayed. The Times New Roman font is displayed instead of the font that you selected in Excel.

This problem may also occur when you deactivate an Excel Worksheet, Excel Chart, or Microsoft Graph object that you inserted into a PowerPoint slide.

Cause

This problem occurs if you use a font that is less than 8 points in size in the Excel worksheet or chart.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
