The text on the “IM”, “Phone” and “Share” buttons are cut off in Lync 2010 Web App

Symptoms

When you join an online meeting by using Lync Web App, the text on the IM button, the Phone button, and the Share button are cut off. This issue occurs if the text is localized in the following languages:

  • Danish (da-dk)
  • Dutch (nl-nl)
  • Finnish (fi-fi)
  • French (fr-fr)
  • German (de-de)
  • Italian (it-it)
  • Norwegian (no-no)
  • Russian (ru-ru)
  • Swedish (sv-se)

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:  
2449497 Description of the update package for Lync Server 2010, Web Components Server: January 2011
