"9602000.exe has stopped working" error when you submit a report to Application Server in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Application Server in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0:
  • You open the Region and Language Settings for your workstation, and you change the value in the Format box to "Spanish (Mexico)." You also change the value in the Current Location box on the Location tab to "Mexico."
  • In Microsoft Dynamics SL, you submit a report to print from Application Server.
When you do this, you receive the following error message:

9602000.exe has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
