Symptoms

When you install FrontPage Server Extensions from the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) while in VGA mode, you receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
When you click Details, the following error message appears:
MMC caused a general protection fault in module VGA.DRV at 0001:00002a91.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the server extensions while running in VGA mode, and use the command-line version of the Server Administrator (Fpsrvadm.exe).
