In some cases, you may have to reset the user ID that is assigned to an Office Professional Plus installation. For example, you may have to do this when a computer is transferred to a different user. In this situation, the previous user's user ID information may remain on the computer and must be reset.

To reactivate Office Professional Plus with the same user

Run the following command from a command line:

1. Click Start, in the search field, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\OSAUI.exe /K

To reactivate Office Professional Plus with a different user

Run the following command from a command line:

1. Click Start, in the search field, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\OSAUI.exe /F
