The ESEBack component does not support ETL tracing on an Exchange Server 2007 server

Symptoms

The Exchange Storage Engine Back (ESEBack) component does not support event trace log (ETL) tracing on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server. Therefore, it takes lots of effort to troubleshoot log truncation issues and seeding failure issues in an Exchange Server 2007 Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) environment or in an Exchange Server 2007 Standby Continuous Replication (SCR) environment.

Cause

This issue occurs because the ESEBack component does not have a trace tag to support ETL tracing.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
