Workaround

Set content to expire after a minimum of one minute in IIS. To change this setting, do the following:

1.Click Start and Point to Programs.
2.Point to Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack.
3.Point to Microsoft Internet Information Server.
4.Click Internet Service Manager.
5.Right-click the virtual server and click properties.
6.On the HTTP Headers tab, select the second radio button and set Content Expiration. Click OK.

More information

Content Expiration is disabled by default. This means that any expiration set on your virtual server was set manually. Internet Explorer will not allow you to edit the content, because it is old (or expired) content, which may no longer be valid.
