Symptoms

When you create a new project with the Web Project Wizard in Visual InterDev 1.0, the following error message occurs:
Server Error: Cannot mark a folder executable on this server
A subweb is created on the server; however, Visual InterDev 1.0 cannot open it.

Cause

Visual InterDev 1.0 attempts to set the project folder as executable; however, this does not work because the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions installation disables the Allow Authors to Upload Executables option.
