Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • In a mixed Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, you have public folders that are located on an Exchange Server 2003 server.
  • A user accesses a mailbox that is hosted on the Exchange Server 2007 server by using Outlook Web Access (OWA).
  • The user clicks the public folders in OWA.

In this scenario, the user receives a "click here to open this folder in 2003 OWA" message. After the user clicks the link in the message, Internet Explorer keeps the loading status. However, if the user refreshes Internet Explorer, the user can obtain the contents of the public folders.
