This article describes the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated August 31, 2010.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

• Consider the following scenario:
  • You have an Office Excel workbook (.xls format) that contains a chart that links to another workbook.
  • You set the horizontal axis of the chart as the date axis.
  • You break the link that connects to the other workbook.
  • You save and then you close the workbook.
  • You open the workbook in Office Excel 2007.
