Event ID 214 is logged when you run a backup operation on a passive node after you install Exchange Server 2007 SP3 in an Exchange Server 2007 CCR environment

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) in an Exchange Server 2007 Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) environment. You run a backup operation on the passive node. In this scenario, the log files are not truncated even if the backup operation is completed. Therefore, the disk space is not released.�Additionally, the following event is logged in the Application log on the active node:

Event Source:������� ESE
Event ID:����� 214
Description:
MSExchangeIS (xxxx) <storage group>: The backup has stopped with error -521.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
