Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a recurring meeting request together with marking the recurring meeting request asPrivate in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment.
  • You send the recurring meeting request to an attendee.
  • You edit an occurrence of the recurring meeting request in Outlook Web Access (OWA), and then send the updated occurrence to the attendee.
In this scenario, the Privatesensitivity status of the updated occurrence is lost in both your calendar and in the attendees calendar.

Cause

This issue occurs because OWA does not inherit the Private sensitivity value from the master value when it updates an exception. Therefore, the updated occurrence is set as Normalwhich is the default sensitivity value.
