Access Help Through the Internet Services Management Console (ISM)

  1. Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. On the Help menu, click Help Topics.
  3. Expand Internet Information Services.

Access Context Sensitive Help

When you are working in the ISM, you can press F1 at any time to view a help topic that is related to the current screen.

Access Help Outside the ISM

The help files are located in systemroot\Help. The file is Iismmc.chm. You can put a copy of this file on another computer that does not have IIS installed and view the documents by double-clicking the file.
