Consider the following scenario:
If a user deletes a folder in the Archive mailbox in this scenario and then restores the folder back from the Deleted Items folder, the deletion tag continues to apply to the recovered folder. This causes the folder to be deleted again.
Note This issue only occurs in the In-Place Archive mailbox.
- In an Exchange Server environment, the default retention policy is applied on the In-Place Archive mailbox.
- The deletion tag is applied on the Deleted Items folder.
