Keyboard layout is changed to QWERTY during a sharing session in Lync Web App in a Lync Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure the regional setting on your computer to a region in which users don’t use the QWERTY keyboard layout.
  • A user who does not use QWERTY keyboard layout creates an online meeting in a client for Microsoft Lync, such as Lync Web App or Lync 2010.
  • You join the meeting by using Lync Web App in a Lync Server 2010 environment.
  • The user shares a program in the meeting, such as Notepad or Microsoft Word.
  • You take control of the shared program, and then try to type inside the program.
In this scenario, your keyboard layout is changed to QWERTY mode unexpectedly.
