Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • An administrator disables dial-in conferencing for a Microsoft Lync 2010 user by using a conferencing policy.
  • The user schedules a private online meeting in Microsoft Outlook.
  • The administrator enables dial-in conferencing for the user by updating the conferencing policy of the user.
  • The user opens the online meeting in the Outlook calendar and then receives the following message:

Your online meeting invitation needs to be updated due to changed server policies. Clicking OK will update the invitation. Please review the online meeting options and then send the updated invitation to all participants.
  • The user clicks OK to update the online meeting invitation.
In this scenario, the updated online meeting invitation contains the following message:

Conference ID: N/A ('Send' will set this ID)

Additionally, participants do not receive the conference ID after the user sends the invitation.
