Assume that you use Microsoft Lync 2010 to join an instant message (IM) conversation or IM conference. You enter double-byte characters in the conversation window by using an Input Method Editor (IME) that uses a buffer to display candidate words (for example, you use a Japanese or Chinese IME). However, the following message is not displayed at the bottom of the conversation windows that belong to other participants of the IM conversation or conference:
