FIX: A 64-bit application that uses the Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.dll file fails if the BizTalk Management Database is on a named instance in BizTalk Server 2010

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • On a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010, you have installed the BizTalk Management database on a named instance of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • You run a 64-bit application that uses the Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.dll file to perform management tasks on the BizTalk Server.

In this scenario, the application does not run.

For example, you run a 64-bit application that uses the Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.dll file to enable and disable a receive location, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
"Could not validate TransportTypeData, Address or Public Address properties for Receive Location '<Receive location>'. Invalid query"


Note This issue does not occur if you use the Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.dll file in a 32-bit application.
