Symptoms

When you open a webpage in Internet Explorer 8 or in Internet Explorer 9, you notice that the font size of an input field or of a text box is smaller than expected.

This issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • You define the font size of the element in a class by using the "ex" unit.�
  • You define the same class at least three times.�
Note The redefinition of the class may be within the same document or in additional include statements in which the class is defined.
