A webpage stops responding after you close a modal dialog box that is started by a VB6 ActiveX control in Internet Explorer 9

Assume that you browse a webpage that hosts a VB6 ActiveX control by using Windows Internet Explorer 9. After you close the modal dialog box that is started by the ActiveX control, the parent window in Internet Explorer 9 stops responding.
