Consider the following scenario:
Note If you open the print queue remotely from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, or Windows XP, the issue does not occur.
- You install a printer on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7.
- You send many print jobs to the print queue of the printer. Or, the printer has many archived print jobs.
For example, there are several thousand print jobs in the print queue of the printer. - You open the print queue by using the Devices and Printers item in Control Panel or the Print Management Console (PMC) snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
