All the bold text in a pop-up window is displayed as square boxes in the OOBE wizard if you are running a Thai version of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Consider the following scenario:

• You install a Thai version of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
• You use the System Preparation tool (Sysprep.exe) to configure the operating system for the Out of Box Experience (OOBE).
• You restart the computer and then run the OOBE wizard during the startup of the computer.
• In the OOBE wizard, you click one of the following options when you are prompted to select the update frequency:
  • Learn more about each option
  • What is a user account
  • What is a computer name
  • What is activation
  • What is homegroup
  Then a pop-up window appears.

In this scenario, all the bold text in the pop-up window is displayed as square boxes.

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 file information notes

Important Windows 7 hotfixes and Windows Server 2008 R2 hotfixes are included in the same packages. However, hotfixes on the Hotfix Request page are listed under both operating systems.
