The "ZwAllocateVirtualMemory" function fails together with a STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES error randomly when you have sufficient memory in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

The ZwAllocateVirtualMemory function fails together with the STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES error randomly on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

Note If you monitor the available memory by using Performance Monitor when the function fails, the Performance Monitor data indicates there is sufficient memory available.

This issue occurs because of a race condition in the memory management.
