A report filter is missing in a PivotChart chart after you save the Excel 2003 workbook in Excel 2010

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You open a Microsoft Office Excel 2003 workbook that contains a PivotChart chart. The chart contains a report filter that was applied by using Microsoft Excel 2010.
  • You save the workbook in Excel 2010 as an Excel Workbook (*.xlsx) file.
  • You open the workbook in Excel 2003.
In this scenario, the report filter is missing.

Cause

This problem occurs because of a limitation in the Excel 2003 import converter.
