Symptoms

You run the "Customer/Item Sales" report or the "Inventory - Customer Sales" report in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 or in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 service pack 1 (SP1). However, you notice that the report displays the statistics based on the specified Bill-to customer no. instead of the specified Sell-to customer no. unexpectedly.

Before version NAV 2009 the Sell-to Customer no. was assigned to the Source No. field in the Value entry table when the entry concerned a sale. From version NAV 2009, Bill-to Customer no. is assigned to the Source No. field. The Sell-to Customer no. is assigned the Source No. field in the Item Ledger entry.

Customer can maintain the previous design that is assigning Sell-to Customer No. to the Source No. field in version NAV 2009 by implementing the following code suggestion:
  1. Change the code in the GetSourceNo function codeunit (22) as follows:
    Existing code
    ...
    BEGIN
    IF ItemJnlLine."Invoice-to Source No." <>'' THEN
    EXIT(ItemJnlLine."Invoice-to Source No.");
    EXIT(ItemJnlLine."Source No.");
    END;
    ...
    Replacement code
    ...
    BEGIN
    EXIT(ItemJnlLine."Source No.");
    END;
    ...
  2. Change the code in the InitValueEntry function codeunit (22) as follows:
    Existing code
    ...
    ELSE BEGIN
    ValueEntry."Document No." := "Invoice No.";
    ValueEntry."Source No." := "Invoice-to Source No.";
    ...
    Replacement code
    ...
    ELSE BEGIN
    ValueEntry."Document No." := "Invoice No.";
    ...
