A memory leak occurs if the content in a frame on a webpage is reloaded repeatedly in Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms

You use Windows Internet Explorer 8 to visit a webpage that contains frames in a frameset. If the content in a frame is reloaded repeatedly, a memory leak occurs.

To monitor memory performance, use Performance Monitor (Perfmon.exe). In Performance Monitor, check the Private Bytes�and�Working Set counters for the affected Internet Explorer process. When you experience this issue, you notice that the values of these two counters keep increasing.
