The title of a custom toolbar is not displayed in Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms

You install a custom toolbar that is supposed to show a title when loaded in Internet Explorer. When you enable this toolbar, the title of the toolbar is not displayed in Internet Explorer 8. Previous versions of Internet Explorer show the title.

Note To enable a toolbar in Internet Explorer 8, click Toolbars under the View menu, and then select the toolbar.
