Georgian characters are not displayed correctly in PowerPivot workbooks

Symptoms

Assume that you use Microsoft PowerPivot for Excel to import data from a Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) database to Microsoft Excel 2010. When the imported data contains Georgian characters, you notice that the PowerPivot workbook incorrectly displays Georgian characters as rectangles.

Note Georgian characters are displayed correctly in the Excel workbook and in the formula bar.

Workaround

To work around this problem, set the font to Arial Unicode MS in Excel, and then restart Excel.
