Workaround

To work around this problem, use one of the following options:
  • Disable the "Tax direction requirement" parameter. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click General ledger, expand Setup, and then click Parameters.
    2. Click the Sales tax tab, and then clear the Tax direction requirement check box.
Note If the Tax direction requirement check box is selected, a sales tax direction value is used for the selected journal. This value is obtained from the Sales tax direction field in the Chart of accounts dialog box of the ledger account that you use in the GL journal line.
  • Specify the "Sales tax direction" setting for the ledger account that you use in the GL journal line. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click General ledger, click Chart of Accounts, and then double-click the ledger account.
    2. On the Setup tab, specify the sales tax direction that is applicable by using the Sales tax direction drop-down box.
