This article describes an update for Best Practices Analyzer for the Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) role on a computer that is running any x64-based edition of Windows Server 2008 R2.

What is Best Practices Analyzer for the Active Directory Rights Management Services role?

On a computer that has the Active Directory Rights Management Services role installed, Best Practices Analyzer scans the computer to determine the following:
  • Whether the HTTPS protocol is used in the Active Directory Rights Management Services cluster URL.
  • Whether the super Users group is enabled.
Important The scan operation of Best Practices Analyzer does not change any system configurations.

Best Practices Analyzer generates a report of the scan results. If any problems are identified, they are displayed in the report as a list of issues that you can sort by severity. The report also contains recommendations together with links to the instructions that describe how to resolve these issues.
