The RpcClientAccess process on an Exchange Server 2010 server crashes when you access a mailbox by using a MAPI application

Symptoms

You access a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox by using a MAPI application, such as MFCMAPI. In this situation, the corresponding calls fail and the RpcClientAccess process on the Exchange server crashes when the Exchange Server 2010 mailbox is located on a recovery database. Additionally, you find the following error message in the Application event log:
