The "DocumentComplete" event is not raised intermittently in an application that hosts the WebBrowser control in Internet Explorer 8

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have an application that hosts the WebBrowser control.
  • The application browses through (or to) different websites that run Java Scripts through an automated process.
  • You run this application on a computer that has Windows Internet Explorer 8 installed.
In this scenario, the automated process may intermittently stop. If you debug the issue, you notice that the WebBrowser.ReadyState property never becomes "Complete" and the DocumentComplete event is never raised.

Note
The automated process does not always stop at the same position.
