Introduction

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 application on a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)-secured site that is configured to require client certificates.
    • You create a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 form template that has a data connection to a SharePoint list on the SSL-secured site.
    • You publish the form template to the SSL-secured site.
    • You open a form that is based on the form template in the Office InfoPath 2007 client from the SSL-secured site on a computer that is running Windows Vista.
    • You select a client authentication certificate.
In this scenario, the form is open. However, the data connection fails, and you receive the following error message:
The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: Data connection name
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
InfoPath either cannot connect to the data source, the service has timed out, or the server has an invalid certificate.
