View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install Security update 974455 (MS09-054) for Windows Internet Explorer on a computer.
  • You select the Print Picture option to print a picture from a Web page in Internet Explorer 8.
In this scenario, the Internet Explorer window is not in focus. Instead, the last window that was selected is in focus.

For example, you may reproduce this issue by performing following steps:
  1. Open an Internet Explorer window and open a Windows Explorer window.
  2. Focus on the Explorer window and then switch to the Internet Explorer window.
  3. On any Web page, right-click on an image, and then select Print Picture.
  4. Select either print or cancel.
In this case, you see that the focus changes to the Explorer window. However, the focus should be on the Internet Explorer window.
