A text block moves together with the mouse pointer when you click the LEFT ARROW key or the RIGHT ARROW key in a Microsoft SharePoint Web application in Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You run a Microsoft SharePoint Web application in Windows Internet Explorer 8.
  • You resize the Internet Explorer window. The window has a horizontal scrollbar but does not have a vertical scrollbar.
  • You put the mouse pointer inside a text block and then press either the LEFT ARROW key or the RIGHT ARROW key.
In this scenario, you see that the text block moves either left or right every time that you press the corresponding key. However, only the mouse pointer should move within the text block.
