You cannot connect an Exchange Server 2010 mailbox by using a MAPI client

Symptoms

You access a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox by using a MAPI client, such as Microsoft Office Outlook. In this situation, you cannot connect the mailbox intermittently. You may receive a "retrieving data" dialog box or the Outlook client shows a "Disconnected" state.

Cause

This problem occurs because the response from the Exchange Server 2010 server is incorrect. Because of this, the MAPI client retries the connection and then receive the same responses repeatedly.

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
