Symptoms



When you try to connect Wireless LAN from the tray icon, the connection may fail or Explorer may crash and restart. When this issue occurs, the following event message may be logged in the Application log:

This issue tends to occur when you select a Wireless LAN from 5 or more access points.





Steps to reproduce the problem

�To reproduce the problem, follow these steps:

1. Click one Wireless LAN connection from the tray icon

2. In the connection dialog window,

� a) Enter Security Key

� b) Double click the OK button

Cause



This problem occurs because the message handling for Wireless connection is not fast enough and causes overflow in the message queue.

Resolution



Try reconnect to Wireless LAN again after the connection fails or Explorer automatically restarts. Trying in a place where there are less than 5 access points is more successful.
